Re: Required Fingerprints

For a period of years our agency has provided officers to complete fingerprint card requests for Perrysburg

Township citizen as well as, for any citizen working within our jurisdiction for private background checks.

We have provided this service at no cost, an at times 24 hours a day. But, now due to a change made by the

Attorney General office of the State of Ohio,

our agency can no longer provide this service and this is

due to that we do not have the required equipment to do so.

This requirement went into effect on June 1st, 2008 and, is currently in place until this office can obtain the

equipment to complete this process.

Attached is a copy of the letter from the Attorney

General’s office with the information on how to locate the nearest location which now can provide this service.

This service does now involve a fee, which you can obtain from the agency that will provide you that service.

Our agency does not have that information.

Again, Perrysburg Township Police Department is sorry that we can not provide this service to you at this

time.

Sincerely,

Edward J. Stribrny, Chief of Police
