Electric, Natural Gas, Propane Options

The residents of Perrysburg Township voted to enter into government aggregation agreements for electric and natural gas. These agreements are “OPT-OUT” which means all residents are entered into the agreement but each individual ultimately decides what option is best for them and can “opt-out” if they wish. Government aggregation provides group buying power normally resulting in a better price for electric and natural gas generation than an individual’s price. Click the link for government aggregation information from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Information provided below is meant to help residents in making the best decision on their utilities.
Electric
Perrysburg Township is located within the First Energy service area and utilizes them through the electric aggregation program.
Electric Aggregation Pricing Questions and Answers

Natural Gas
Perrysburg Township has selected IGS Energy as the supplier for its Natural Gas Aggregation Program. Residents and small businesses within the community are eligible. Those under contract with another supplier will not receive an opt-out letter. The program is initially a variable monthly rate with the option to secure a fixed rate.
Through the October 2025 billing period, both the monthly variable rates and any fixed rate will be calculated by taking the NYMEX month-end settlement price (times the current BTU conversion factor) plus an adder of $0.145 per Ccf, plus applicable state and local taxes. There is no Cancellation or Monthly Fee.
Columbia Gas of Ohio will send a confirmation letter notifying residents of the switch. Columbia Gas of Ohio will remain the local utility service provider and continue billing. Participants can call IGS Energy at 877-353-0162 or Buckeye Energy Brokers at 866-302-2237 with questions.

Township Gas Aggregation
Residential and Commercial Natural Gas Aggregation Variable Rate is the New York Mercantile Exchange closing price times the then current Btu conversion factor plus $.145/Ccf.
Perrysburg Township has teamed up with IGS Energy to provide the residents with a Natural Gas Aggregation program that will still be billed by Columbia Gas of Ohio. During the Opt-Out Period, all residents not under contract are automatically placed in the program unless they specifically request to opt-out. There is no cost for enrollment. As members of the program, residents and commercial accounts are billed the New York Mercantile Exchange closing price times the then current Btu conversion factor plus $.145/Ccf through the October 2025 billing cycle.
The IGS Energy rate will replace the Columbia Gas of Ohio “Standard Choice Offer.” The Standard Choice Offer consists of natural gas costs set by an auction.
If you are not part of the program and wish to join, please contact IGS Energy at the number below. Enrollment takes approximately 30-45 days depending upon your meter read date. If you have any questions regarding this program or would like to know how it will affect your natural gas bill, please contact IGS Energy directly at 877-353-0162 or by visiting their website at igsenergy.com.
No Cancellation Fees
As always, there are no cancellation fees for leaving the natural gas program. Notices will be sent to members of the program regarding the next term in September 2025.
Perrysburg Township Electric Aggregation Program
Dear Resident or Small Business,
The Perrysburg Township electric aggregation program provides you with exclusive pricing on the electric generation portion of your electric bill. This is possible through governmental aggregation, a community purchasing program where community officials use group buying power to purchase electricity from a retail electric generation supplier certified by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. To further increase the buying power, your community joined with other area communities as part of the Northwest Ohio Aggregation Coalition (NOAC) which selected Energy Harbor to provide your electric generation. This program was approved by voters in your community in May 2010.
By participating in the Perrysburg Township aggregation program, you will receive the following exclusive pricing on your electric generation:
Current Supplier: Energy Harbor
Rate: 6.30 cents per kWh Term Ends: May 2025.
You will continue to receive a single, easy-to-read bill from your local electric utility with your Energy Harbor charges included on your bill. There is no cost for enrollment and you will not be charged a switching fee.
You may choose to leave the program at any time, without penalty, and will NOT be charged a cancellation fee. If you do not want to participate in the aggregation program, you must complete one of the following by the Opt Out Deadline. Via Mail, Web or Call Energy Harbor at 1-866-636-3749 to opt out over the phone
Following the opt out deadline, future bills will reflect the Energy Harbor price listed above upon your next available meter read date, which may take up to 30-45 days. If you are not currently receiving electric generation from Energy Harbor, your electric utility will send you a letter confirming your participation.
